Lymphedema of Arm

I have mild to moderate lymphedema in my arm. How can I reduce or get rid of it?

My doctor said it was nothing serious, just some localized fluid retention but explains my unusually "big" guns. Should I use as gel or slimming shapewear or something to help reduce or get rid of it?
